St Francis Xavier's Primary School is a Catholic primary school, situated on the outskirts of Falkirk, approximately 3 miles from the town centre.

St Francis Xavier's has a tradition of sound education spanning more than a century. The current building was opened on this site in 1960 for an expanding population.

The staff and head teacher, as present 'caretakers', have very clear aims for the pupils and for the school. They are to:

  • provide a curriculum that is well resourced and which caters for the needs of pupils
  • provide an appropriate curriculum which ensures breadth, balance and continuity
  • strive to raise the levels of achievement/attainment of all pupils
  • build a partnership with the home and involve parents in their child’s learning
  • create a safe and caring environment
  • provide a Catholic ethos which encourages respect of self and care of neighbour

Nursery education is available offering 2.5 hours of pre-school education sessions each week. Children will benefit from the high quality experience, which will enhance their social, emotional and intellectual development. More information can be found on the Childcare and pre-school pages|.

Childcare is available from an out of school care group provided by First 4 Kids. Please contact 01324 671344 for more information on this service.
