Proposed route
The parade progresses out to Linlithgow Bridge, with the main body of the parade crossing over the river Avon, on the bridge by the A803, the Bands floats etc. break off into Mill Road, Linlithgow Bridge and stay in Linlithgow Bridge. On reaching the Bridge Inn turn left on to the B825 and stop in front of the Bridge Inn. This is the
Western Boundary of The Royal and Ancient Burgh of Linlithgow. (the point of the Marches is to check the Boundaries) The outside steps of the Bridge Inn are used to make a couple of speeches from and toast the boundary and Linlithgow. The parade turns around and returns through Linlithgow bridge joining up with the rest of the parade and continues through Linlithgow The main body only, then goes down to Blackness this is the Easterly Boundary for Linlithgow, by the A803, and A904 turning right and on to the B903, this run down to Blackness is Vehicular only no walkers or marchers to above the War Memorial, where We form up and march down and lay wreaths.
