We have been considering a planning application for the erection of a church with associated community facilities at Kinnaird Village Centre, Larbert. An appeal has now been lodged with Scottish Ministers by the applicants on the grounds that the Council has not determined the planning application within set timescales. The application is therefore deemed to have been refused.
The planning appeal will be considered by the Scottish Government's Planning & Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA). DPEA is appointed by Scottish Ministers to determine appeals on their behalf. All written representations made to us on the planning application to date will be passed to DPEA. Anyone who has made representations and wishes to submit further additional comments should do so, in writing, to DPEA:-
Please do not send further comments to Falkirk Council
Details of the appeal and timescales for submissions are published on the DPEA website and the Scottish Government’s guidance on planning appeal procedures are also available.
As part of the appeal process we will be asked for our formal view and a report will be presented to the Council’s Planning Committee for Members consideration at a date still to be confirmed.
