Policy Development Panel - Falkirk Community Trust Agenda - 31 August 2015, 14:30

A meeting to be held at Municipal Buildings, Falkirk at 14:30 on 31 August 2015.

The remit of the panel is to review:- " the original intention of establishing the Trust and whether those objectives and expectations have been realised; " what has been achieved since its establishment in terms of service performance; " governance, monitoring and relationships with the Trust as a charitable company limited by guarantee; " financial performance and risk management issues, and " where relevant, how other Councils manage their relationships with similar arm's length independent bodies This is the fifth meeting of the Panel and will focus on the environment in which the Trust delivers and supports the delivery of services To assist the Panel, it will meet with - 1. Scottish Libraries - Amina Shah CEO Scottish Library and information Council 2. Scottish Sports - Jacqueline Lynn, Head of School and Community Sport, sportScotland 3. Creative Scotland - Caroline Docherty, Head of Place, Partnerships and Communities And will receive a written submission from Museums Galleries Scotland The agenda will be - Welcome and Introductions - Chair of the PDP, Councillor Craig Martin Presentations and questions focussing on: the challenges and opportunities for each sector and the issues that are facing providers now and in the future. The Panel also would like to hear about how challenges are being addressed in other areas i.e. good practice. Discussion, questions 5.00pm.
