Long-serving Council staff were recognised at a special ceremony in Falkirk Town Hall last week.

104 Long Service Awards were handed out to employees from Children's Services, Corporate & Housing, Development Services and Adult Social Work. The Awards celebrate the dedication of employees with many (usually 25 and 40) years of service.

Staff awardees joined Provost Buchanan and Chief Executive Kenneth Lawrie at the ceremony on Thursday 24 January, which was followed by a light buffet and photo call.

Collectively, this year's cohort of awardees have racked up 2,930 years of duty between them — which equates to more than 1 million days of service to Falkirk Council and the people of Falkirk.

This year's most prolific service was Children's Services, who collectively racked up 37 Long Service Awards (thirty-five 25-year awards and two 40-year awards). Corporate & Housing Services saw the most 40-year awards, with twelve.
