Grangemouth Golf Club could be on the verge of a new chapter.  Councillors will discuss recommendations for the golf course, clubhouse, and associated buildings to be leased to the Club for the next five years with a view to a future move towards full ownership through Community Asset Transfer at a meeting of the Council’s Executive on Tuesday, 28 November 2023.

The proposal, aimed at sustaining the golf course’s operations and empowering the club to shape its own future involving the termination of the current licence, entering a new community benefit lease agreement at a nominal rent of £1 per annum, and transferring all the maintenance equipment to the Club.

Malcolm Bennie, Director of Place Services said: “The proposal aligns with the Council’s aim of supporting stronger and healthier communities and has undergone rigorous assessments to comply with statutory obligations. It is now for Elected Members to decide if this is the right approach to take.”
