Flooding protection scheme will be the subject of two public consultations this month.

Residents from Grangemouth, Carronshore and the surrounding areas are invited to come along to two drop-in sessions and give their opinions on Falkirk Council’s new flooding protection proposals.

Robert McMaster, Head of Design, Roads and Transport, said: “We want to protect as many homes and properties as possible from water damage, and we need the views of local people to help us do this.

“We especially encourage all residents who live along the sites of the River Avon, River Carron, Grange Burn and Forth Estuary to attend.”

The consultations will be held on:

  • Tuesday 27th February between 11am-7.30pm at Carron and Carronshore Bowling Club, Beaumont Drive, Carron, Falkirk, FK2 8SN
  • Thursday 1st March between 11am-7.30pm at Bowhouse Community Association Centre, Bowhouse Road, Grangemouth, FK3 0EU.
