Provost Buchanan is inviting Falkirk Council staff and Elected Members to donate Christmas gifts for children and young people across Falkirk.

The Provost's annual festive appeal relies on the generosity of Council staff to provide toys, foods and other gifts for less fortunate children and young people in the Falkirk area – some of whom may not receive anything on Christmas Day.

Donations will be collected after Monday 10 December 2018 and distributed to youngsters closer to Christmas through Social Work's Children & Families team. Gifts should be unwrapped but placed in an open gift bag.

The Social Work team has requested:

  • New toys for children and young people (to 18 years)
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Variety of gift vouchers (for older teenagers)

Donations can be left in one of these locations:

  • The foyer area at the Committee Suite entrance, Municipal Buildings in Falkirk
  • Callendar House, Falkirk
  • Sealock House, Grangemouth

Update, Tuesday 11 December: Sincere thanks to everyone who donated. Dozens of gifts were contributed.
