What is Common Good property?

Common Good property is land or buildings that were owned by former burgh councils and passed to the council through local government reorganisation.

In the Falkirk Council area, Common Good property may come from the former burghs of:

• Falkirk
• Grangemouth
• Bo'ness
• Denny

Property bought by former burghs for services such as housing or education is not usually part of the Common Good.
