Our pages should be safe, friendly and respectful for everyone who lives, works or studies in the Falkirk area.
When you comment or post on our pages, you agree to follow these house rules and the rules of the social media platform.
Using our pages
Our pages are mainly for sharing information.
They are not monitored all the time.
Do not use social media to report emergencies, make complaints or request council services.
Moderation
We can check comments to make sure conversations stay respectful and safe.
If a comment or post breaks these rules, we may remove it without warning. We may also limit, block or report accounts.
In serious cases, we may report content to the police.
Our moderation decisions are final. We will not discuss individual cases.
Content we may remove
- Abuse or harassment, including threats or personal attacks
- Hate speech or discrimination against individuals or groups
- False, misleading or harmful information
- Disruptive behaviour intended to derail discussions
- Illegal or inappropriate content, including breaches of copyright
- Spam, advertising or repeated comments
- Attempts to avoid moderation, such as changing spelling to bypass filters
What action we may take
- Remove comments or posts
- Restrict who can comment
- Temporarily or permanently block accounts
- Report accounts to the social media platform
- Report serious issues to the police
