Flood risk and surface water drainage advice
Before you submit a planning application, you must show how your development will manage flood risk and surface water drainage.
What you need to do
- Check if your site is at risk of flooding
- Design measures to reduce flood risk for your development and nearby areas
- Complete the Flood Risk and Drainage Checklist and include it with your application
Our approach
We do not allow developments that:
- Are likely to flood
- Increase flood risk for others
