Interim Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places
Notice is hereby given that Falkirk Council is undertaking an interim review of its polling districts and polling places.
The purpose of the interim review is to ensure our polling scheme remains accurate considering local changes affecting electors. The aim is to ensure electors have access to reasonable facilities for voting and that, as far as is reasonable and practicable, every polling place is accessible to all electors, including those with a disability.
Timetable for the interim review

A consultation document containing further details of the interim review process, together with proposals and Returning Officer’s representations, will be published on Participate+ Falkirk from Monday 7 September. A survey will also be available for the duration of the public consultation period outlined above.

The current polling scheme, detailing all polling districts and polling places, is published in map format and will be provided as a downloadable file on Participate+ Falkirk as part of the consultation materials.
All representations made to the Council by any person in connection with the interim review will be open to public inspection and will also be published on the Participate+ Falkirk in accordance with statutory provision.
Following the consultation period, all submissions will be reviewed and a report containing proposals, together with details of all responses received, will be considered by Falkirk Council.
The outcome of the interim review and copies of correspondence issued by the Council to persons with expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for disabled persons will be published on Participate+ Falkirk.
Implementation will take place immediately following the Council’s decision.
