We've now completed our series of employee roadshows in November and December 2019 to highlight proposed new changes to our workforce package. We had 22 roadshows in a variety of locations and 523 employees booked spaces.

We had 442 responses to our online survey and there were mixed views on the options proposed. The allowances that appear to be the least popular are:

  • Relocation
  • Telephone
  • Excess travel
  • Long service
  • Mileage
  • Overnight allowance
  • Subsistence

For the overtime options, moving to time and a third was more popular than overtime only after 42 hours. It was also suggested that overtime rates should stay the same or there should be a weekend enhancement.

There will now be further discussions between trade unions and officers to see what can be changed and a further update will be provided.
