If you wish to become a British citizen, you must apply to the Home Office.

If you are aged 18 and over and are accepted for naturalisation as a British citizen, you are required by law to take part in a citizenship ceremony.

The ceremony helps applicants gain a full understanding of the rights and responsibilities that come with British citizenship. It also makes sure the applicant is properly welcomed into the community. During the ceremony you'll have to make an oath of allegiance (or an affirmation if you prefer not to swear by God) and a pledge. This means you promise to respect the rights, freedoms and laws of the UK.

At the end of the ceremony you'll be presented with your certificate of British citizenship and a welcome pack.

We are only able to schedule citizenship ceremonies where the certificate has been received by us (The Registration Office) and you have an invitation letter from the Home Office to contact us.
