Buy With Confidence is a national initiative that reviews and approves legitimate local businesses, allowing them to join and promote themselves as a reputable company to consumers. The initiative provides consumers with a list of local businesses that have been approved and who have given their commitment to trading fairly.

Run locally by us, Buy With Confidence is open to all types of traders and businesses in the Falkirk Council area.

Join today

By joining the initiative, your business and services will be promoted to 75,000 Falkirk households, receive a public profile on the national Buy With Confidence website, and be able to use the Buy With Confidence Trading Standards Approved logo and wording on vehicles and promotional materials.

All businesses who join on or before 31 March 2024, will pay only £100 for the first year, regardless of business size. Businesses that sign up on or after 1 April 2024 will pay both the application and the annual fee in line with their business size.

Once your business has been part of the Buy With Confidence initiative for 12 months, the annual fee relating to your business size will apply.

How to apply

The Buy With Confidence initiative reassures customers that businesses and traders on their list are trustworthy and provide good customer service.

Businesses must pass a set of background checks and visits by our Trading Standards Officers before they are invited to join.

Good references from previous customers are required and businesses must agree to follow a code of conduct which ensures they are complying with the law. You can find out more information on the Buy With Confidence website.

All accepted businesses are regularly monitored to ensure they are meeting the initiative's high standards.
