Important information

We are currently processing a large volume of applications for Free School Meals and Clothing Grants.

We are also experiencing a large number of enquiries, and unfortunately we will not be able to respond to all of them. We ask that you only contact us if there is a specific issue with your claim or your payment.

Due to unavoidable delays in relation to COVID-19, we are currently unable to process all claims within our target of 28 days. We are working on completing all applications as quickly as possible.

Once your claim has been assessed you will receive an email from us confirming the outcome of your claim. If entitled, payments are normally made within 10 days of receiving your email.

We can provide Free School Meals, and payment towards the cost of school clothing and footwear (clothing grants) to the value of £120.00 per child/per year.

To be eligible, you should normally be resident in the Falkirk Council area and your child(ren) must attend any primary, special or secondary school managed by Falkirk Council. Payments may also be made where pupils are attending schools outside the area in limited circumstances.
