• A certificate for an event taking place in England and Wales. For more information please visit Order a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate - GOV.UK.
• A certificate for an event which occurred in Northern Ireland. For more information please visit the nidrect webpage.
• A certificate for an event which occurred within the last 2 years should be obtained from the Registrar in the District where the event was registered as we likely do not have access to this.
• Scottish Divorce certificates, 1984 onwards, can be obtained from National Records of Scotland. For more information please visit Order a certificate - Scotland's People.
• Scottish Dissolution certificates, 2007 onwards, can be obtained from National Records of Scotland. For more information please visit Order a certificate - Scotland's People.

The statutory fee for a certificate is £15.  If ordering 2 or more of the same certificate, the first certificate will cost £15 and each additional copy will cost £10.  

If you are applying within one month of the date of registration then the fee is £10.  The event must be registered in Falkirk.These certificates will be posted to you. 

The fast-track service is only available for collection of certificates from the Falkirk Registration Office.

There is an additional fee of £10 for this service.

When your fast-track application has been processed you will receive an email when the certificate is ready to collect.

We aim to process these applications the same day or next working day.

Please note - the certificate will be posted to you if not collected within one month of application.

Our registration service can provide a family tree search service and registration staff can help you search digital images for a fee. You can also get paper prints of certain records.  You will require an appointment to do a family tree search.
