Estate Walkabouts
What are Estate Walkabouts?
Estate walkabouts are joint inspections of neighbourhoods by housing staff, tenants and partners such as waste management, roads and street lighting. They are an important way for residents to work with local housing teams to improve neighbourhoods. Tenants can request these walkabouts to identify issues, plan improvements and agree actions and priorities. The results of these walkabouts help monitor performance and guide the Council's neighbourhood improvement activities.
Estate walkabouts are not about inspecting individual gardens but can include open communal spaces that are maintained by the Council. To conduct the walkabout services will need at least three tenants to express interest.
