Employee Survey 2025
Last year, 2,793 colleagues from across the Council and the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) took part in the Employee Survey 2025, representing around 31% of the workforce.
This page sets out the responses to the core survey questions at a council-wide and service level.
Participation
Colleagues working across all four Council services were invited to share their views, including NHS colleagues from the HSCP, who were invited to take part for the first time.
The survey opened in October 2025 and ran for four weeks. The question set built on learning from the 2023 survey results. Overall participation increased by 1,041 responses compared to 2023.
£2,793 was donated to charity through the Provost Christmas appeal.

What happens next
Services will use their individual results, including responses to the open-text question, to develop service-level action plans focused on the main themes raised by their teams. These plans will be added to this page in early spring 2026 and incorporated into the workforce plans.
Managers will also use relevant results and feedback to support discussion within teams. This work will sit alongside wider organisational improvement activity.
Kenneth Lawrie, Chief Executive:
What matters now is what happens next. Services will use these results to agree priorities and actions, and publishing those plans confirms our commitment to delivering them and making improvement where we can. Future surveys will help us return to this and see what's changed and where more attention is needed.
