You can apply for a copy of a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate online via our website. You can order certificates for any birth, death and marriage registered in Scotland from 1855 to present, and Civil Partnerships registered in Scotland from 2004 to present.
What information do we collect about you? (categories of personal data)
We collect your full name and contact details (which may be a postal address, email address and / or phone numbers) and details of the person whose certificate you are requesting.

We collect information from you.
Who might we share your information with?
We do not share your information with anyone else.
The Council has a duty to protect public funds. We may check your information within the Council for verification purposes and/or for the prevention of fraud. We may share your information with other organisations where we are required to do so for the purposes of the prevention or detection of crime.
Will we send your information outwith the UK? (transfers to other countries)
We do not transfer your information outwith the UK.
How long do we keep hold of your information?
