Cooking Up Confidence in the Heart of Falkirk

In the heart of Falkirk town centre, a once-disused furniture store is being transformed into something extraordinary - a vibrant Youth Hub, led by Go! Youth Trust. Thanks to support from the Community Choices Small Grants Programme, the organisation has installed a new kitchen that will serve as the beating heart of the new space.

This modern kitchen is already making a significant impact, enabling young people aged 10 to 25 to take part in cooking classes, develop independent living skills, and access a welcoming, safe space where they feel at home.

Since the installation, around 30 young people have successfully completed a REHIS Food Hygiene qualification, and another 30 have achieved a Healthy Eating and Living qualification—demonstrating the real-life benefits of this investment.

Building a Healthier, Fairer Falkirk

The project is already creating opportunities for young people to grow in confidence, explore new interests, and build a better future. By removing barriers such as food insecurity and lack of access to cooking facilities, Go! Youth Trust is helping to create a fairer and healthier community.
