Our office based civil marriages now take place at Callendar House. However, the location of your civil ceremony is very flexible we can solemnise civil ceremonies almost anywhere in the Falkirk Council area. Our experienced team conduct ceremonies in a wide variety of hotels and venues or even your own home or garden.    
  
We will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects you as a couple. Your ceremony can be short and sweet or perhaps you would like us to create something more bespoke that tells a little about your love story and aspirations. You can personalise to choose your own vows, readings, ceremony enhancements or symbolic gestures. Our civil marriage readings document offers more information and inspiration.

Our ceremonies take place on a Monday and a Friday, at these times:

• 11am
• 1pm
• 3pm

Monday ceremonies – The Study

Small statutory weddings will be held in The Study at Callendar House. These ceremonies are limited to the couple and 2 witnesses.

 Larger ceremonies can be held in The Queen's Room and include the couple and up to 32 guests.  

Callendar House only hosts civil ceremonies arranged through the Registration Service. Bookings for ceremonies outside of this arrangement are not available. Callendar House marriage ceremonies FAQs offers more information.

If you have already booked your ceremony and would like to book a photography permit or an after ceremony toast package, please email callendar.house@falkirk.gov.uk.

Once you have decided on a date and venue for your special day you can make a booking online. Once we have checked our availability, we will confirm the provisional booking and you will be asked to pay a non-refundable fee to secure your ceremony in our diary.
