Councillor Iain Sinclair, Falkirk Council's spokesperson for Education, said:

Results day is a chance to recognise the achievements of young people across Falkirk and the hard work, commitment and perseverance that has brought them to this point.

"There is no single pathway to success. Whether they move on to further study, training, an apprenticeship or employment, every route offers opportunities to build skills, gain experience and achieve their ambitions. If today's results are not quite what they hoped for, support is available to help them understand their options and choose the next step that is right for them.

"We are proud of what our young people have achieved and of the dedication shown by everyone working in our schools, as well as the encouragement and support provided by parents and carers.

"We remain committed to giving every learner the opportunities, skills and confidence they need to make the most of their future

Jon Reid, Falkirk Council's Director of Education, said:

I would like to congratulate every young person receiving their results today. We know how much effort goes into preparing for exams and assessments, and these results represent a significant achievement.

"We are encouraged by the progress shown in this year's results, which reflect the commitment of our young people and the support provided by teachers and school staff across Falkirk. I would also like to thank parents and carers for the important role they play in supporting learning throughout the year.

"For any young person looking for advice about their next steps, support is available through their school and Skills Development Scotland to help them understand the options available and make informed choices about what comes next.
