Strong inspection report for Bainsford Primary School and nursery
Bainsford Primary School and nursery have received a strong inspection report, with inspectors highlighting its nurturing approach, leadership and commitment to ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
HM Inspectors visited the school, nursery and Enhanced Provision in May 2026, evaluating five areas of its work. Three were rated ‘very good’ and two ‘good’.
The nursery received ‘very good’ evaluations across all three areas inspected - curriculum; learning, teaching and assessment and wellbeing, inclusion and equality.
Inspectors praised the innovative and creative nursery curriculum, including opportunities for children to learn outdoors and build connections with local residents.
Across the school, nursery and Enhanced Provision, inspectors highlighted the nurturing, caring and trusting relationships staff have developed with children. They found this helps children feel safe and secure, with almost all engaging well in learning and play.
The leadership of the headteacher was also recognised, alongside the support of senior leaders and the wider staff team. Inspectors found robust systems are in place to plan, track and monitor learning, with most children making good progress.
The report also highlighted the school's focus on equity and ensuring children feel valued, well supported and ready to learn.

“Our children are at the heart of everything we do, and it was particularly pleasing to see inspectors recognise the strong relationships across our school, nursery and Enhanced Provision, as well as the progress children are making in their learning.
