We monitor the supply of land for housing and produce the Housing Land Audit (HLA) every year. The HLA estimates the number of houses to be built each year. The housing supply target is set in the Falkirk Local Development Plan.

The Falkirk Council area has enough housing sites in the Housing Land Audit to build 2690 houses to 2024 (5.1 years supply) and a further 2959 units after that. A number of additional sites with capacity for 1387 houses are not counted as contributing to the housing land supply. There are enough sites in the HLA and the adopted Local Development Plan to meet the target of 6890 units between 2017 and 2030.
