Best Start Grants

- School Age Payment – For children due to start Primary 1
Scottish Child Payment
A weekly payment to help with the costs of raising children under 16 years old.
Young Carer Grant
A yearly payment for young carers. To be able to get Young Carer Grant, you must be 16 - 18 years old.
Job Start Payment
A one-off payment to young people who are on certain benefits and need help with the costs of starting a new job.
