With Payroll Pay®, you can spread the cost of your purchase through convenient salary deductions - no credit checks required. This makes it easier to afford the newest products and provides a simple solution for unexpected appliance breakdowns or essential household items without turning to expensive loans or credit cards.
Although there are no credit checks required, we do carry out salary checks to make sure that the deductions from your salary do not take you below the National Living Wage/National Minimum Wage (NMW). This calculation only uses your basic salary (excluding unsocial hours and overtime) and takes account of any other salary sacrifice schemes (Childcare vouchers, AVCs, Car lease, Cycle to work) that you are paying before the order can be approved.
Administration fee
Employees will be charged a £10 administrative fee for each processed order. Please consider this if applying for multiple orders. This fee will be deducted from your monthly salary in the month following your confirmed accepted order.
What you need to do
To take advantage of this benefit, place your order through the Vivup portal. The cost will then be divided into manageable payments taken directly from your salary over an agreed period (either 12 or 24 months).
The maximum order limit is £2,000. The total value of all orders at one time cannot exceed this amount. If you submit multiple orders, an admin fee will apply to each order.
Your monthly gross salary will be reduced through payroll, starting from the month after you submit your order.
Things to note
If you leave Falkirk Council for any reason during the term, you agree to a single net salary adjustment equal to the salary sacrifice that would have applied across the remainder of the agreed term. This adjustment will be made from your final net pay.
Goods will automatically be ordered from the supplier when your order has been authorised by your employer. Delivery should be within 5 working days from ordering with the supplier. However, when new Apple iPhones are released they may initially have up to a 3 month lead time. For example, if the new apple iPhone is released in September, delivery to you may not be until February. Please note that payroll deductions will start the month following submission of your order, even if you have not received your phone.
If you are considering reducing your hours in the near future through flexible retirement or flexible working please bear in mind this might not be approved if the reduced salary and your salary sacrifice amount take you below NMW.
The equipment can only be delivered to your home address as detailed by you on your order form and this will be verified by Falkirk Council during the authorisation process.
Once you select the term of your agreement, either 12 or 24 months, it cannot be amended and there is no opportunity to pay in full earlier than the end of the agreed term (unless you leave Falkirk Council employment).
