We want everyone to be safe, and feel safe, in their own community and in their own home.
The Falkirk Council area is one of the safest places to live in Scotland and is below the national average crime rate. Falkirk Council is part of the Community Safety Partnership along with Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue, NHS Forth Valley and other relevant partners who work together towards a safer Falkirk.
Feeling safe is an important factor in making decisions such as where to live or where to locate a business. Safe communities are also healthy communities, as people do not live in fear and feel able to go out freely in their community.
To make our communities safe, we must:
- Tackle antisocial behaviour
- Make our communities aware of how to stay safe
- Protect the public
- Tackle drug and alcohol abuse
- The Community Safety Partnership is committed to tackling these issues to create a safer environment in the Falkirk Council area.
