Known locally as Gala Park, the large town centre park is on higher ground overlooking both Denny and Dunipace. A dramatic stretch of the River Carron borders the park to the south. The park comprises of children's play area, formal sports pitches, mixed woodland, grassy open spaces and a good footpath network.

Herbertshire Castle Park is one of 6 local parks accorded Queen Elizabeth Field status by the charity Fields In Trust who work to safeguard open spaces for communities.
