Schools regularly use the local area, including parks and woodlands to teach pupils about their environment, culture and heritage as part of the school curriculum.

Parents will be asked to sign a consent form for these routine visits at the beginning of each school year or as part of the admissions process.

Trips to the theatre or residential stays further afield might also be offered. Information will be given in advance, including details of any costs. You will be asked to sign a permission form to allow your child to take part.

The safety and welfare of pupils taking part in school trips is essential. We follow the advice given in the Scottish Government's Going Out There for all our off-site visits.
