Pay award agreement reached for SJC Workforce
The latest two-year pay offer from COSLA for the Scottish Joint Council (SJC) Workforce has been accepted.
The agreement includes:
- A 4% increase effective from 1st April 2025
- A further 3.5% increase from 1st April 2026
This represents a total uplift of 7.64% over the two-year period.
Our payroll team is working hard to apply the uplift accurately and efficiently. The payment, including any backpay due, will be made in September’s pay.
COSLA’s Resources Spokesperson, Councillor Katie Hagmann said:
I’m pleased that GMB and UNITE members, alongside UNISON, have voted to accept the strong two-year pay offer from COSLA. This means a two-year pay settlement has been agreed – which will bring a welcome period of stability and certainty about pay for our workforce.
The ballot for Craft workers is ongoing as are discussions for SNCT pay for teaching staff.
