Because the increase has been applied from 1 April, there will be no backpay later in the year. In previous years, backpay was sometimes processed after pay awards were agreed.

The following increases now apply:

• SJC employees – 3.5%
• Craft employees – 3.5%
• Chief Officials – 3.5%
• SNCT employees – 0.25% (this means the total increase since August 2025 is now 4.5%)

Craft and SJC salary scales are based on a full-time employee working 37 hours a week.
