Winter vaccination programme
There are several ways to get protected against flu this winter, whether it's through the NHS, drop-in clinics, or by claiming back the cost.
Having flu is disruptive. It can mean time off work, passing flu to your family, friends or colleagues, and it can make some people seriously unwell.
If you’re eligible for free vaccination through the NHS, you will receive a letter, email or text message with details of your appointment or information on how you can book one. Please wait to be contacted before booking an appointment.
Frontline health and social care workers are also eligible for a flu vaccine this winter. Drop-in vaccination clinics are available. To find your nearest staff drop-in clinic or to book an appointment, visit nhsforthvalley.com/staff-vaccination
For those not eligible, you can claim back the cost of your flu vaccination as an expense through MyView, using the ‘My Claims’ function to create an expense claim.
We would encourage all employees to get vaccinated.
You can access information on respiratory illnesses like the flu on NHS Inform.
If you do become ill and are too unwell to attend work, please follow our absence reporting processes.
