Your feedback: six commitments we are focusing on
Hi everyone,
In January we published the results of the Employee Survey 2025, and I want to update you on what’s happened since.
More than 2,700 of you took part, and many shared honest, detailed views about your experience of working here. That takes time and trust, and I don’t take either for granted.
Over the past few months, every service has been working through what was said, reviewing their results and developing action plans based on feedback from their teams.
As that work progressed, the same themes came through strongly across services: the visibility of leaders, access to development, recognition, and the quality of conversations between managers and their teams.
Because of how widely these themes were raised, a set of organisation-wide commitments have been developed. These give a clearer picture of what needs to improve across the Council as a whole and make it easier for everyone to track progress.
The commitments, which you can read in full on the Employee Survey web page, cover everything from leadership visibility and development to recognition, manager conversations, and creating a positive, inclusive workplace.
They apply across the organisation, provide shared focus for the work ahead, and make clear the areas we’re all working to improve.
Behind them sit the individual action plans that will be used to deliver this work in each service.
What comes next
The next Employee Survey is currently being planned for September 2026. Before it launches, an update will be published in August setting out what’s changed, the progress made so far, and where there’s more to do.
That update matters. If we are asking you to share your views again in September, it’s important that you can see what’s happened as a result of the last survey.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please get in touch with the Organisational Development team at OrganisationalDevelopment@falkirk.gov.uk.
