A new employee green charter has been launched that gives the workforce an opportunity to help combat climate change and make Falkirk a greener place to live and work in.
The charter is a list of simple actions employees can commit to in the workplace that will help the Council’s aim of being a net zero emissions location by 2030.
The charter is the brainchild of the Green Champions Network, a group of employees who are passionate about tackling the climate change issue. The role of the group is to promote resource efficiency and to ensure sustainability is built into everything the Council does.
Claire Marion, energy and climate change officer explained: “The charter is simply a list of actions that we can all take that will help make the Falkirk area a greener place.
"We all have a part to play and as a workforce of more than 7000 employees, we can lead by example and inspire others in the workplace or at home and have a real impact. I’d urge everyone to take action based and make the commitment.”
You can access the charter on the Green Champions Network page.
