For many, a new year brings new resolutions that often include promises of getting more active – that usually end after a few weeks.  However, 2022 could be just the year you make those changes.  Our Sustainable Transport team has an app that will keep you on track – and you could win prizes too!

Take the Right Route is a free app-based campaign, powered by BetterPoints.  By ditching the car and getting more active and choosing to travel by foot, wheel, cycle, or public transport more often, employees can earn points for every journey logged which can then be exchanged for Falkirk District Towns gift cards or donated to local good causes.

Prize draws and competitions running this month include:

• Everyone who makes an active or sustainable travel resolution for the year will be entered into a prize draw to win £15 worth of BetterPoints and have £15 donated to a local charity of their choice.  
• From everyone who has logged all their journeys on the app, one lucky winner will be drawn every two days until the end of the month.
• Invite family, friends and colleagues who live or work across the Falkirk Council area to download the app and get involved and you will be entered into a prize draw.
• Refer a friend by the end of January and you could win 5,000 BetterPoints to spend or donate to charity.  Whoever refers the most people will win a £10 District Towns gift card.

Taking part is easy:

• Simply download the free BetterPoints app from Google Play or Apple App Store.
• Enter the referral code TTRRFC.
• Invite family, friends, and colleagues to join using the ‘refer a friend’ function.
• Note: If already using the app, make sure you tap ‘add referral code’ and enter TTRRFC before you invite people to join.
