Declaration of Ballot Result

The outcome of the ballot on proposals to renew the Falkirk Business Improvement District (Falkirk Delivers) has now been confirmed.

Following the ballot held to approve the renewal of the Falkirk Business Improvement District (Falkirk Delivers), with polls closing at 5pm on Thursday 3 September the result is as follows:

  • Turnout by number of eligible businesses: 39.77%
  • Total votes cast: 249
  • Votes in favour: 225
  • Votes against: 24
  • Percentage of votes cast in favour: 90.36%
  • Turnout by rateable value: 50.77%
  • Aggregate rateable value voting in favour: £6,543,000
  • Aggregate rateable value voting against: £1,007,600
  • Percentage support by rateable value: 86.66%

As the requirements set out under the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 and the Business Improvement Districts (Scotland) Regulations 2007 have been met, the proposal to renew the Falkirk Business Improvement District has been approved.
